Removal and installation of a forward seat

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Removal of a forward seat with a lateral safety cushion requires the AUDI VAS 6036 adapter.

  1. Seat with adjustment of height: Lift a seat.
  1. Pull upward a cover (2) over a tip (1) belt at a seat and remove.
  1. Press a tip of a belt (1) (arrow) down and disconnect from a seat. Extend a seat belt from directing a belt at a seat.
  1. Shift a forward seat (4) forward.
  1. Extend 4 clips (2) and remove back safety covers (1).
  2. Shift a forward seat back, extend 2 clips and remove forward covers of the directing.
  3. Turn out on 2 screws (3) behind and in front.
  4. To exclude operation a head safety cushion, switch off ignition and disconnect at first the negative (-), and then positive battery cables. Instructions are provided in the Section Replacement of the Battery.
  1. Cast away a forward seat (4) back and uncover upward (5) boxes for plugs.

Before undocking of the socket of a lateral safety cushion remove an electrostatic charge for what quickly concern the lock of a door or a body. The adapter of a safety cushion has to remain attached until the seat is not again established. Surely observe security measures at the address with a safety cushion, address to the Section General information and security measures.

  1. Press a pad at the plug and disunite the socket of a lateral safety cushion (orange color) (6).
  2. Disunite the food giving socket (red color) (7), heating of a seat (8) (green color) and a seat belt (black color) (9) if they are available.
  3. Attach the plug lateral a safety cushion (orange color) (6) to VAS 6036 safety cushion adapter.

The adapter provides additional protection against an electrostatic charge.

  1. If it is possible, attach other end of the adapter of a safety cushion to the food giving plug (red color) (7).
  2. Take out a forward seat.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is carried out in sequence, the return to removal. Thus fix a forward seat the moment 50nm.

During connection of the battery in salon there should not be people.

  1. Remove the isolating tape from a negative pole of the battery, attach at first positive (+), and then a negative cable (-) to the battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the Battery.

  1. If after ignition inclusion the safety cushion signaling device on a control panel does not die away, it is necessary to consider information from memory of malfunctions on HUNDRED.
