Running in

New engine

The first 1500 kilometers are the engine running in period.

For run of the first 1000 km

Speed no more than 3/4 from the maximum.
Do not squeeze out an accelerator pedal against the stop.
Avoid high turns of the engine.
Do not tow the trailer.

During the period from 1000 to 1500 kilometers

Gradual transition to speeds is possible up to maximum and to the maximum turns of the engine.

During the first hours works the engine is characterized by the increased internal friction if to compare to the subsequent period when the rubbing parts are earned extra to each other. Efficiency of process extra earnings in an essential measure depends on the driving mode on the first 1500 km of run.

After a running in operation of the engine on the raised turns is also not allowed. The most admissible frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine represents the beginning of a red field of a scale of a tachometer. At achievement immediately be switched by an arrow of a tachometer of a red field to higher transfer (the car with a manual box of gear shifting). Extremely high turns of the engine are blocked automatically.

On cars with a manual box of gear shifting do not allow falling of turns with transition of the engine to an unstable operating mode. In time, uniformity of rotation of a shaft of the engine was not broken yet, switch to a low gear.

All data on speed and frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine belong only to the engine, heated-up up to the working temperature. Never - idling, during the movement - do not allow operation of the cold engine on the raised turns.

New tires

On the first 500 km of run with new tires observe extra care.

New tires initially do not provide optimum coupling with the road and therefore have to be rolled.

New overlays of brake shoes

Remember that new brake overlays for the first 400 km do not provide optimum brake action yet.

New brake slips have to be earned extra at first to provide optimum friction force. Some decrease in efficiency of braking connected with it is compensated by the corresponding increase in effort to a brake pedal.

In the period of a running in avoid strong braking, especially at very high speed, and also braking on steep slopes and descents (for example, passes).
