Removal, installation and check of coupling

The aligning mandrel of AUDI-3176 or the ordinary aligning tool, for example, of HAZET 2174 is necessary for installation of coupling.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a check point, address to the Section Removal and the check point installation.
  1. To exclude a flywheel provorachivaniye at an otvorachivaniye of bolts of fastening, record a flywheel a screw-driver and a mandrel or the AUDI-3067 tool.

The AUDI-3067 tool is shown on an accompanying illustration in the provision of installation, at removal the tool should be turned.

  1. Weaken bolts of fastening of a press disk cross-wise on 1 – 1.5 turn so that to unload press a disk.

If at once to turn off bolts completely, it is possible to damage press springs.

  1. After weakening of bolts turn out them completely.
  2. Take out press and conducted disks.

Do not drop disks at removal, otherwise after installation into place there can be difficulties at switching off of coupling and breakthroughs during its work.

  1. Wipe the coupling switching off bearing, without washing out it.
  2. Wipe a flywheel.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check press a disk for existence of traces of an overheat and flutes.
  1. Check the ends of press springs (an arrow on an accompanying illustration). Wear to a half of their thickness is allowed.
  1. Check spring connections between a press disk and a cover for existence of cracks. Check reliability of rivet connections. When weakening rivets coupling needs to be replaced.
  1. Check adjacent surfaces for existence of cracks, traces of an overheat and wear. The press disks having a deflection inside to 0.2 mm can be applied further. Check is carried out by means of a ruler and a set of probes.
  1. Check a flywheel for existence of traces of an overheat and flutes.
  2. The greasy disk and disk having mechanical damages should be replaced.
  3. Check thickness of frictional slips.
  4. It is possible to check a face beating of a disk for HUNDRED. It should not exceed 0.8 mm (at distance of 2.5 mm from edge).

Such check becomes only concerning an old disk which created difficulties at coupling switching off. If necessary, will carefully correct a disk.

  1. Check a hand a disk in the established situation. For this purpose slightly squeeze the bearing a hand and turn. The bearing has to rotate easily.

At bearings of switching off of coupling with a plastic ring the last can be disconnected at removal of a check point or the bearing. It is not the reason for replacement of the bearing.

  1. Paste the disconnected ring before the check point installation to a bearing ring AMW 195 KD 01 glue. Thus 3 noses of a plastic ring (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) have to enter bearing ring grooves.

If the working surface of a plastic ring is worn-out more than on 0.5 mm, the bearing of switching off of coupling needs to be replaced

  1. At the movement of the car the damaged bearing of switching off of coupling proves noise when pressing a pedal of coupling. In this case the bearing needs to be replaced.

Installation

Check new details according to the catalog. If the details which were in work are established, previously they need to be checked.

If the old disk of coupling burned down owing to an overload, for elimination of a smell it is necessary to clear carefully press a disk, a flywheel and the engine from a check point.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation of a new press disk remove protective anticorrosive greasing only on its working surface. In other places do not delete greasing at all since it can lead to essential reduction of service life of coupling.
  2. Check reliability of installation of the aligning mandrel on a flywheel.
  3. Clear of a rust of a vent of the conducted disk. Grease with a thin layer of MoS2 greasing teeths of primary shaft. HUNDRED apply for this purpose AUDI-G000100 greasing. After it move the conducted disk in different directions on primary to a shaft so that the nave easily moved on a shaft. Surely remove surplus of greasing.
  1. At installation of the conducted disk watch that a package of screw springs or an inscription of "Getriebeseite" ("the Party of a check point") it was turned towards a check point. Frictional slips have to adjoin to a flywheel. If there are color tags, watch that white points of a two-mass flywheel (And) and a press disk (In) were opposite to each other, address to the illustration Flywheel, a basket and a disk of coupling.
  1. Center the conducted disk on a press disk by means of a mandrel, for example, of HAZET 2174 or AUDI-3176. If the conducted disk is not centered, it will be impossible to enter later primary shaft.
  1. Establish press a disk on the aligning pins on a flywheel.

Press the disk has to adjoin to a flywheel completely. Only after that insert fastening bolts. Do not tighten press a disk at all bolts, otherwise the aligning pins and their openings can be damaged.

  1. Tighten bolts of fastening of a press disk cross-wise on 1 – 1.5 turn. After that tighten bolts the moment 25nm. Thus press the disk should not warp since otherwise the aligning pins and their openings can be damaged.
