Power shaft with the Tripode AAR 2000 hinge

1 — the Bolt, surely replace
2 — the Collar, surely replace
3 — the Protective cover of the external hinge. Check for existence of cracks and places of mastications. Before fixing of collars quickly raise a cover to level pressure
4 — the Collar, surely replace
5 — the Screw with an internal polyhedron
6 — the Hinge
7 — the Star of "Tripode" with rollers. The facet (arrow) indicates shaft vents

12 — the Protective cover of the Tripode hinge. Before fixing of collars quickly raise a cover to level pressure. The hinge thus has to be in the central situation

15 — the External hinge. Replace only in a set. On a shaft is established by means of a plastic hammer so that the lock ring was recorded.
Attention: When replacing a cover, if necessary, to fill the hinge with greasing. Pay attention to distinction in greasing grades depending on diameter of the hinge.

Power shaft with the hinge of equal angular speeds

1 — the Bolt, surely replace
2 — the External hinge of equal angular speeds, replace only in a set
3 — the Lock ring. Surely replace. Before installation of the hinge it is inserted into a shaft groove. If the hinge is installed, the ring is not visible

5 — the Cover of the external hinge. Check for existence of cracks and places of mastications. In the presence of damages of the hinge check it outside. Before fixing of collars quickly raise a cover to level pressure. Before fixing of collars quickly raise a cover to level pressure. Sealing surfaces at installation of covers have to be cleared of greasing

The car is set in motion by means of a torque transmission from a transmission to wheels by means of two (or four – on models with the full drive) power shafts. Boots of internal hinges are made of rubber, and external — of thermoplastic (thermoplastic is steadier against external influences). Each shaft consists of three main parts: internal hinge (tripod type), directly shaft and external hinge of equal angular speeds (HEAS). The internal hinge of a shaft is fixed by means of a lock ring. External hinges of both shaft (CV JOINTS) terminate in shlitsevy shaft which enter vents of naves of driving wheels. Shaft are fixed in naves by nuts.
