Removal and installation of the switch of a stoplight

The switch of a stoplight is in a pedal support. When pressing a pedal of a brake by means of the switch the stoplight lights up. Besides, the switch of a stoplight serves as the sensor for the ABS/EDS control unit. Therefore the correct work and adjustment of the switch of a stoplight has special value.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The switch of a stoplight can be installed only once. After removal it needs to be replaced.

  1. Remove a pocket from the driver, address to the Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver.
  1. Squeeze the plug (2) in the direction of an arrow and disunite connection.
  1. Turn the stoplight switch on 45 ° to the left and by that release it. Take out the stoplight switch.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. At the new switch of a stoplight completely take out a pusher (the shooter on an accompanying illustration).

In an installation time do not press a brake pedal.

  1. Insert the switch the lock levels (1) and (2) into grooves of a support of a pedal and record, having turned on 45 ° to the right. Position of the switch has to be reliable. At installation of the switch the pusher itself holds the correct position.
  1. Fix the stoplight switch plug, check operation of the switch.
  1. Establish into place a pocket from the driver, address to the Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver.
