Removal and installation of a depreciation rack

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Mark the direction of rotation of a wheel on the tire. Weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lift and install the car on supports and remove wheels.

Surely observe instructions in the Section In case of emergency.

  1. Fix a brake disk one bolt of fastening of a wheel.

At cars with adjustment of range of light before removal of the left depreciation rack weaken fastening of a connecting bar of the sensor of level of the car for what open a lock bracket of the bearing lever.

  1. Disconnect an electric wire of ABS from the holder on a support.
  2. Remove a support and fix it on a suspension bracket so that the weight of a support did not make impact on a brake hose and the brake pipeline, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk / support.
  1. Remove by means of flat-nose pliers a clip (1). The clip should not be established any more.
  1. Turn off a nut (2), take out a bolt and take out upward both levers of a suspension bracket.

Do not expand a groove in the wheel bearing case with a chisel or the tool similar to it.

  1. Protect a casing of steering draft a cover (1) from damage. HUNDRED AUDIS apply for this purpose a protective  cover No. 893 512 137.
  1. It is necessary to cut out a strip from a protective cover the size A = 20 – 25 mm. Carefully chamfer sharp surfaces. Cut of a cover at installation has to look down.
  2. Bring a garage jack under a rotary support, having enclosed wooden laying so that the suspension bracket after a detachment of a depreciation rack it fell not too low. Otherwise hinges of the lower levers can be damaged
  1. Turn out a bolt (the shooter on an accompanying illustration) and cast away the wheel bearing case aside.
  1. Weaken fastening of the tank of a broad tank of cooling liquid.
  2. Uncover a water-collecting compartment.
  1. Uncover (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) a bolt.
  1. Turn out bolts (1) in a water-collecting compartment.
  1. Take out a depreciation rack with a support.

Thus watch to damaging a protective cover.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Insert a depreciation rack with the support case into a support. Tighten a bolt of fastening (1).

Watch the correct provision of washers.

  1. Rubber-metal support have the limited range of twisting. Therefore tighten bolted connections on levers when the car costs on wheels.
  1. Insert a tip of a depreciation rack into the suspension bracket lever, slightly tighten a new nut of connection (1). After lowering of the car on wheels tighten a nut the moment 90nm.

Bolte needs to insert against the direction of the movement.

  1. Insert both top levers. Press on pins of levers down as far as it perhaps and tighten a new nut (2) moment 40nm.
  1. Remove a protective cover from a cover.
  2. Insert in the holder on a support an electric wire of ABS.
  3. Establish to the place of a brake disk, fix a support, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk / support.

At cars with adjustment of range of light the connecting bar of the sensor of level of the car has to be established on the bearing lever.

  1. Fix wheels, observing the direction of their rotation, lower the car on wheels. Only after that tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the moment 120nm.
  2. Tighten bolts of fastening of a depreciation rack in the lower part the moment 90nm at the car standing on the earth.

Models with NR-2 support

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out a bolt (2) and remove the holder of the brake pipeline.
  1. Turn off bolts (1) fastening and remove a support.
  2. Again establish into place the holder of the brake pipeline. Screw and tighten a bolt (2).
  3. Fix a support on a suspension bracket a wire so that the weight of a support did not lead to deformation and by that to damage of the pipeline.
