Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a depreciation rack.
  2. The depreciation rack can deal only with use of the special tool.

The spring of a depreciation rack is squeezed by big effort. For removal of the shock-absorber it is necessary to squeeze a spring the special adaptation.

Do not remove at all the shock-absorber if the spring is reliably not squeezed. At installation of the adaptation for compression of a spring watch that rounds of a spring were reliably captured and the adaptation could not slide off. The spring is squeezed by big effort. Use only the reliable tool. Do not connect a spring a wire at all. Danger of accident!

  1. Clamp a spring with a tip in a vice.
  1. Squeeze a spring the corresponding adaptation. HUNDRED AUDIS use the V.A.G 1752/1 (1) adaptation to this purpose.
  1. At compression watch the correct provision of a spring in the adaptation (an arrow on an accompanying illustration). (1) – the adaptation for compression, (2) – a support for spring rounds.
  1. Squeeze a spring so that the top plate was released.
  2. Turn off a nut with a fillet of fastening of a rod. Thus hold a rod from a provorachivaniye a face key for an internal hexagon. The special tool (2, 3 and 4) shown on an illustration 4.3 is for this purpose necessary (HAZET 4910/13 or AUDI-T10001/7, T10001/11 and T10001/3).
  3. Remove the squeezed spring together with the adaptation for compression.
  1. Remove the protection cover (1) and the lower support of a spring (2).
  1. Mark the provision of the lower plate in relation to the shock-absorber (4).
  2. Disconnect a plate (3) by means of a plastic hammer and remove upward.

Installation

There are springs of various groups of the admission. It is necessary to apply only springs with an identical color tag. It is recommended to replace springs and shock-absorbers in couple, i.e. from both parties of the car.

 

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clamp a new cartridge of the shock-absorber with a tip in support of a depreciation rack or in a vice with slips.

  1. Transfer to the new shock-absorber a tag from the old. Carefully by means of a plastic hammer establish the lower plate of a spring against the stop on the shock-absorber. Thus watch that the tag on a plate coincided with a tag on the shock-absorber.

    And — a shock-absorber Axis / the bearing lever
    I \Left depreciation rack,
    In = 65 ± 2 °
    II \Right depreciation rack,
    With = 87 ± 2 °

  1. The provision of the lower plate is defined by the sizes specified illustrations.
  2. The cut of a plate (shooter) has to provide access to a body.
  1. Establish into place the lower support of a spring and the protection cover.
  1. Establish into place the squeezed spring together with the adaptation for compression. The end of a round of a spring has to adjoin to an emphasis.
  1. Establish a shock-absorber support with the top support of a spring on the squeezed spring so that the support of a spring adjoined to the end of a round of a spring (the shooter on an accompanying illustration). The deviation in limits ± 2 ° is allowed.
  1. Establish a washer and a support of the shock-absorber.

Watch that the end of a spring adjoined to an emphasis of the top support of a spring.

  1. Tighten a new nut with a fillet the special tool the moment 50nm. Do not unclench a spring yet.
  2. Press vertically depreciation rack the adaptation for compression of V.A.G 1752/2.
  1. Release the lower lock lever and turn the top plate of a spring so that the scale of a support of a depreciation rack stood on mark 7 °.
  1. Watch that the ends of a spring adjoined to an emphasis of the top and lower support of a spring.

  1. Fix the lock lever.
  2. The lever of a support of a spring of the V.A.G 1752/2 adaptation (shooter) has to coincide with the center of a support.
  3. Carefully weaken the adaptation for compression of a spring and take out it.
  4. Check adjustment. If necessary, repeat procedure.
  5. Establish into place a depreciation rack, address to appropriate section.
